Loose Buttons – Fell Into A Hole

It’s that riff that starts of Loose Buttons‘ new single, that instantly had me moving along to the rhythm. Incredible hooks and vocals that seem to be drifting back and forth within the sound are what makes this a special piece of art. ‘Fell Into A Hole’ is a celebration of Loose Buttons’ tight-knit New York music family as it is a duet with Ava Trilling (Sub Pop’s Forth Wanderers) and has been produced by Gus Oberg (The Strokes).

It’s the third track of the bands’ upcoming debut album ‘Something Better’, which is due for release on the 7th of February. Their previously released single have been praised by NME, The FADER and Stereogum and we can safely say that Music For The Misfits can be added to the list of devotees. It’s the combination of not overdoing on guitar riffs and all separate components of the single being on the right level. It’s a great and reassuring blend of vocals and instrumentals and stands out from indie rock nowadays.

“‘Fell Into A Hole’ is, above all else, an enclosure of the highs and lows of being on your own, struggling with your place in the world and your own mental health, and finding a community that’s like family and helps you get through it when it all feels the hardest.”
