It’s their raging sound that is up beat and high energy and blew me off my chair. I wasn’t a fan of Highly Suspect‘s collaboration with Young Thug and all I hoped was that that wouldn’t be their new sound. With ‘These Days’ I let out a sigh of relief. It’s the loud and angry punk rock sound and the visuals that come with it that are just signature Highly Suspect. The visuals of ‘These Days’ that have just been released star School of Rock’s Tony Cavalero and take the viewer on a journey questioning what normal is. A family’s dinner turns into a chaotic brawl and unseemly secrets are revealed. Those secrets might not be as relatable but defining a new ‘normal’ is what we’re currently all in the process off. Highly Suspect released this song some time ago but it is now more relatable than ever.
Frontman Johnny: “We’re getting better at letting other people into our tight knit community. When you find someone with as much passion as you, sometimes it’s worth giving it a shot. This time that man was Tony Cavalero. He is also hilarious.”
The band have been touring heavily and reached a big up with the ‘MCID’ album. Hopefully there’s more like this to come!
