New wave/ post punk outfit Eades have released new single ‘Vivid Dreams’ and it’s an infectious vivid dream in the form of a genre-blending earwig. The single is taken from their upcoming debut EP which will be released on the 10th of July. ‘Vivid Dreams’ is a final preview of their EP and will most definitely be a hit for fans of The Strokes and Public Access TV. The bands’ punk-inspired furiosity builds upon great rhythms and filthy guitar hooks.
Frontman Harry Jordan speaks of the subject of ‘Vivid Dreams’: “This is probably the longest we spent working on a song, and one of the earliest songs written for the band. It’s been through countless version and mixes but I just didn’t want to ditch it. I knew there was something there, particularly in reference to the detailed lyrics written with a close friend of mine. It started almost drum and bass like but after a lot of jamming we got it somewhere we’re proud of.”
“‘Vivid Dreams’ is about the day after a long night when you’re scared of the outside world, and the elements feel like they’re conspiring against you.” The band are currently making wave and with their new single the waves are only becoming bigger!
