Civic Green have recently released their debut single ‘There Is Always A Light’, a hopeful sounding track with a guiding intro and intriguingly outstanding vocals. Their debut is about seeing the good when times are hard, it is a positive spark both lyrically and musically. Their generic indie pop sound is, however not too inventive, very catchy and brings a smile to my face. The band are obviously very passionate about their being as a band and their music, something I admire in emerging acts.
‘There Is Always A Light’ shines a light on infectious yet simple drums, repeating guitar riffs and echoing harmonies. Their anthemic indie will most definitely look and sound good on any big festival stage and I am more than curious to hear what the band’s future releases are going to sound like!
