I am intrigued, a synth-pop intro would usually not hook me nor keep me listening, but Owen Duff is different. I am still not a 100% sure their new single ‘Family Tree’ is something I really do like… However, it is an easy listening single that is infectious and feeds on the feeling of wanting to listen to the lyrics to find out more about ‘Family Tree’ and what it is about.

It is the combination of non-conventional instruments, multi-layered soundscapes and the constant thrilling background-synths that get me. ‘Family Tree’ is like a painting without any sky or clear space, no note stays untouched and its whole 3 minutes and 9 seconds long ‘Family Tree’ is an adventure. I want to know more about Owen Duff.
