KIN’s cap off 2020 with a yearning and melancholic dream pop ballad. The London based indie pop trio make the most of a straightforward song structure by leaning heavily on synth and guitar textures. Grace Strickland’s vocals serve as the focal point throughout the track with heavily reverbed bass and post rock guitar lifting deepening the emotion of the heartbroken chorus. With lyrics including “Would you come back for me? / If I asked you to love one more time” the sentiment is certainly familiar though the execution is tasteful and the tune itself is quite catchy. Every sonic element at play is utilized in a direct fashion and compliment the emotional thrust of the song. With “Wander & Lost”, KIN have arrived at an established and fully realized sound with the potential for broad appeal with the indie crowd.
