If you have not heard of Teen Mortgage, they are a band to listen out for. The duo, formed in early 2017 in Washington D.C., write energy-filled tracks filled to the brim with personality. Their newest single ‘Such is Life’ presents themes of relatable struggle, in its anger towards unjust societal hierarchies.
For just two members, the amount of sound they create is immense. As vocalist James Guile screams, “such is life, so choose life”, the punk elements of the track shine through. With the guitars and drums layered flawlessly to create the liveliest timbres, there is really nothing to criticise here. If you’re a fan of punk, give ‘Such is Life’ a listen – it’s passionate, catchy and relatable.
