‘Go Back’ is a soft and smooth new alternative pop song and the first release of Dutch pop singer songwriter Daniel Nolet. His first is a simplistic but fun and comforting new single with striking guitar lines, attractive vocals and an overall wandering feel to it. A talent for music lies deep within the family tree with Daniel’s cousin being the frontman of successful pop band Chef’Special. However, music wasn’t always in the cards for Daniel, “I was set out to be a footballer, played professionally for 2 years, when I messed up my knee at 16 I grabbed a guitar, started writing songs and never stopped since.”
‘Go Back’ is soothing and mellow, has a personal narrative and a deeper meaning that gets uncovered layer after layer throughout the song. The singer shows he knows what direction he plans on going in by releasing ‘Go Back’ as his first single, there’s a comforting unhurriedness and a confirmation of this being the start of something bigger, that mesmerises us when listening to ‘Go Back’. The single will soon be followed up by a debut EP and we’re excited to hear what else we can expect from Daniel Nolet.
