Southern California-based alternative pop outfit Casual Vice have just released their new single ‘Battles’, a warm and atmospheric song with a simplistic and comforting soundscape. The band have recently signed with Big Deal Music Group, who also work with Beach House, Local Natives and Sharon Van Etten to name a few. The future is shining bright for the band and ‘Battles’ is their latest proof of that.
The song was written by Brandon Hoogenboom and Kyle Krone, the last one mentioned having also produced and mixed the track. ‘Battles’ talks about picking your battles, and how to deal with making the right choice when choosing your battles. “Choose your battles/ Know your name/ Sing about it/ Ease the pain”, if we would have been musicians we would have dealt the same way Casual Vice deal with their battles; by creating alternative pop tracks. However, we are lucky enough to be able to deal with our battles by listening to the soothing songs bands such as Casual Vice release!
