In quest of a sound for the future and for the present’s new counter culture, Generous Gods’ psychedelic rock single ‘Snake Oil’ takes their listeners back to the 60s. On top of winding guitar riffs and a deep, groovy bassline, the Atlanta-based band cleverly blends song elements to create an eclectic sound.
The song’s hallucinatory soundscape builds throughout and is uniquely enhanced by the submerged effect of frontman and songwriter Gray Griggs’ vocals. There’s more to discover and plenty of fun to be had listening to this ambitious track.
