Brighton-based three piece Projector were formed in 2017 and have since been building their sound, evolving and growing into a competent and exciting music group! Their latest, ‘Play Along’ is a hook-filled grunge punk anthem that we’ve not been able to get out of our heads the past few days, and we do not complain! The band supported Cleopatrick at the Electric Ballroom just yesterday and previously supported Deap Valley, Kid Kapichi and Tigercub, a few of our favourites.
‘Play Along’ is catchy, riffing and distorted yet mellow and unhurried track with rough vocals that colour its soundscape and give it a natural tint. It’s filled with filthy riffs and a rough finish, something we much prefer over smoothly produced pop tracks! ‘Play Along’ follows the release of their EP ‘Zero’ and showcases another delicious side of Projector. They’re like a drug, we know blasting them on full volume might not be good for our ears, but we just can’t stop ourselves from doing it over and over again…
