Azu Yeché – Plastic Life

It was October 2019 when we first reviewed Azu Yeché‘s mesmerising sound, and today we are back with single ‘Plastic Life’, which he released a few days ago. It is a promising start of his 2022, with the single being his first release of the year, and being both rousing and introspective.

His new single is a mix of elements taken from soul, folk and African music. The result was produced by Boe Weaver and turned out to be a light-hearted and soft, subtle soulful pop track that is most of all very clearly the product of Azu’s musical mind. On ‘Plastic Life’, Azu says: “it was written out of a need to have an honest conversation without fear. It starts out a bit scared to confront the situation but progressively gets more assertive and clear.”

His warm and hearty voice shines brightest on ‘Plastic Life’, a peculiar, outstanding sound that leads us through the harmonious soundscape that makes up most of his new single. Azu has once again outdone himself! You can experience Azu Yeché live at the dates and locations below:

18th May – The Green Note Camden
26th May – Chesham Village Hall, Chesham
