A fantastic new garage rock duo launched themselves onto my radar and stole my heart with brand new single ‘Honey’. A refreshingly fast paced, caffeinated mix of guitars and loud vocals are what made me add Currls to my ones-to-watch-list. The Brighton-based rock outfit have at the same time announced the release of their upcoming debut EP, ‘Hello, My Name Is’ which is due for release on the 11th of November!
‘Honey’ is about owning your power and individuality and is a rich and vibrant short but sweet rock track with powerful vocals and an addictive, riff-driven soundscape. It’s made me feel excited, inspired and like I’ve just had two espressos that went straight to my arm and legs that instantly started living their own life. I nearly fell of my chair, and ‘Honey’ makes me want to be in a mosh pit.
The only question left to ask is; when is Currls going to be performing live in Newcastle?!
