Simply put, Fay Lamour is mesmerising. She creates dreamy pop songs that are daring and exciting, romantic at times and pensive in the form of slow paced, dancing soundscapes. ‘Next to You’ is something else and made us want to know more about the South African songstress!
Where do you discover new music?
Music apps or from friends. Most of the time I just let YouTube play through out the day and new discover music.
What is your favourite place to write and listen to music?
My favourite is when it’s gloomy weather. I’ve written most of my music heading to a small little town called Fauresmith, staying there for a week. Pretty much grew up there visiting my grandparents. They are just so wholesome and make being creative so enjoyable. My favourite place is anywhere if I fancy a good whiskey, smoking and being around the people I love.
What activity are you unable to do without music?
What are your favourite things to do besides music?
Dinner parties! I love cooking and being “Hostess with the Mostess”. Besides music, it’s when I’m at my happiest.
