After the announcement of indie legends Circa Waves, Stockton Calling is back with another announcement, the second headliners for their 2023 edition will be legendary Britpop outfit Sleeper! The band will be headlining The Georgian Theatre on Saturday the 8th of April.
The band were celebrating their hay days in the mid-90’s and achieved eight Top 40 singles across three Top 10 album with well over a million sales generated. They purposefully walked away from the spotlights in 1998 (I was three years old) to return in 2017 to release two albums which were received with applause and praise from all over. Tees Music Alliance shared their thoughts on the second headliner of the festival they’re co-organising: “We’re very excited to have Sleeper headline The Georgian Theatre stage at next years’ festival. Not only have they got a back catalogue of hits to please the crowd but their most recent album ‘This is Tomorrow’ is brilliant as well!”
