‘Anti-Ultra’ is the debut single by The Melonbars, the band are excited to make a contribution to the Seattle music scene and have poured their passion and energy into this shining and infectious debut!
The duo that form The Melonbars have been inspired by artists such as David Bowie, Beck, and Ariel Pink and wrote and recorded their debut in singer Adam’s home. They’re a duo of few words, so we’ll just assume they used all of their vocabulary for ‘Anti-Ultra’s lyrics! It’s a punching and uplifting rock track with good vocals and strong instrumentals and the song’s soundscape is a bouncing and weaving one.
This powerful introduction is hopefully introduction of more to come from The Melonbars, and it’s a great first release. The “song talks about dealing with a certain type of crazy”, what certain type that might be, is where their listeners can fill in their own!
