Twilight Driving have just released their latest single ‘Break Your Heart’, an anthemic indie rock song with an up beat and infectious chorus and some intriguing harmonies. The Brighton-based rockers gave me a little insight into their lives as musicians and as people and those open and honest personalities shine through in their honest and heartfelt lyrics! Their combination of catchy hooks and great stories make it a short journey to listen to Twilight Driving’s comforting sound. The four-piece draw on influences from musical icons from the past and the present and their sound takes inspiration from Americana fueled by 80’s inspired synths.
‘Break Your Heart’ pounds like a human heart and showcases the rather recognisable Twilight Driving-sound. The band have received support from great outlets such as BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing, Clash Magazine and Spotify’s editorial playlists. There’s no stopping for the indie rock band that sounds different than your typical indie rock band, it’s all in the influences!
‘Break Your Heart’ is about rough break ups and the struggles and anxiety that come with it. “We wanted to give the song an underlying feeling of the stress and anxiety of a break up. The fast pacing of the song represents to us the building up of dread and panic which these symptoms induce.”
