Modern Guilt invoke the spirit of classic psych and early garage rock with their barn burning new single. Kicking things off with a ramshackle guitar riff, vocalist Jaz delivers a gruff and commanding performance recalling the likes of Jim Morrison of The Doors and Bobbly Gillespie of Primal Scream. This lyrical tale of heartbreak and resolution features an explosive and sunny chorus driven by a bouncy bass line by Dan Williams and punchy organ by Glyn Evans. The band takes time near the end of the track to jam out as Andreas Podda turns in a searing guitar solo while swirling keys and a building drum rhythm conclude ‘Get Along’ with dramatic flair. If you’re looking for modern rock with a vintage feel, Modern Guilt are worth adding to your playlist.
